Use vinegar to control your appetite


White wine, red wine, balsamic, or champagne—eating vinegar with a predinner salad can keep you from overeating and craving dessert. The acetic acid in this flavorful condiment deactivates amylase, an enzyme that turns carbohydrates into sugar.
