Mark Kintzel honed his home decorating and garden design skills at an early age. Encouraged by their parents to be creative and have fun, Mark and his four brothers each found their own avenues of artistic expression. While his brothers and parents formed a traveling gospel group, Mark spent countless hours drawing, planting gardens, building ponds, fashioning floral arrangements, and just plain dreaming. Eventually, he landed a job at a major department store as a visual presentation artist in charge of window and floor displays. The keys to Mark's projects are simplicity and using vintage, recycled or natural items. Most of the project materials are easy-to-find yard sale, flea market, vintage store, back yard or attic treasures. His favorite source for potential treasures? The night before garbage pick-up day in his neighborhood. Mark also specializes in unique, lush floral arrangements using fresh, organic flowers for weddings, personal, and corporate events.
