Pruner maintenance will keep your pruners in good shape for yearsSharpen the blade when you notice that cutting takes more effort. Use a sharpening stone or diamond hand file, drawing it along the length of the blade and following the factory bevel angle. After a few quick, smooth strokes on the beveled side of the cutting blade, make a light pass on the flat side to remove any burrs.
